Maybe you're not interested in attending college. Maybe you're not happy at your current job. No matter why you're looking for a new career, Lubbock Chapter IEC is here to help. Our electrical apprenticeship program is a great way to open the door to new possibilities.

When you join our electrician apprenticeship, you'll complete 8,000 hours of on-the-job training and 576 hours in the classroom. Once you've completed all the requirements, you'll take the Texas Journeyman exam to receive your state electrical license.

ELECTRICAL APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM

Lubbock IEC is no longer accepting applications for the 2024-2025 program year.
Please check in with us year for the next open enrollment period.
You must be employed with a contractor member to enroll in classes, employment is not guaranteed

This is a four-year DOL approved apprenticeship program, with approximately 30 positions open.


Minimum requirements for Lubbock IEC Apprenticeship:

  • Must not be less than 17 years of age
  • Have High School diploma or GED
  • Be physically capable of performing essential job functions

Documentation to be provided at time of application:
  • Driver's License or other proof of age
  • Social Security card or other proof of employment eligibility
  • High School diploma or transcripts, or GED certificate (or documentation of at least 1 year experience in the electrical field)
